Research

Mr Wajed has been involved heavily in research throughout his career.

He developed and supervised the successful Upper GI Research Fellowship Programme which ran at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital in conjunction with the University of Exeter Medical School and other academic institutions from 2006 to 2015.

He carried out his own Research Fellowship under the mentorship of Professor Tom DeMeester at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles from 1999 – 2000, and for which he was subsequently awarded the Master of Surgery (M Chir) degree from the University of Cambridge.

He continues to be active in research, supporting his junior colleagues and collaborating in several National Projects relating to reflux and gallstone disease. Mr Wajed would be pleased to support and advice on Research and Audit projects where his experience and expertise may be of benefit.
