Torax Medical organised a meeting of the leading international surgeons currently performing the LINX procedure.
The group included Dr. Thomas Horbach, from Germany, Dr. John Lipham from the United States, and Mr. Saj Wajed from the UK.
The meeting was to discuss the finer points of the LINX procedure and discuss how surgeons wishing to offer the LINX procedure should be trained.
It was agreed that a programme of Preceptorship would be arranged, where a Preceptor, experienced in the LINX procedure would visit, observe and advise potential Upper GI/Specialist Reflux surgeons to develop a LINX service.
Mr. Wajed agreed to be a Preceptor for surgeons in the UK and France.
